Obligatory Dark Knight journal!
Well, it's not that obligatory; I got a little tale to go along with this that's actually pretty interesting, as my experience with this movie was... well, different.

Here's the big shocker right now...
I did not sit through this entire movie.
*DUN DUN DUN*
YES. I WALKED OUT OF THE DARK KNIGHT. FEEL FREE TO KILL ME.
Okay, but, honestly, I now know why that stupid Joker qoute "Why So Serious?" is a meme.
BECAUSE IT'S WHAT I WANTED TO ASK THIS FREAKING MOVIE.
Seriously, this movie was WAY, WAY WAAAAAY TOO SERIOUS. I mean, I went in there expecting a cool actiony movie with Batman and The Joker and alot of explosions and chases and ass-kicking. What I got was some kind of weird boring-ass crime drama type thing where they somehow tried to put FUCKING BATMAN in as the main character, which by the way, was WAAAAY TOO LONG. (2 and a 1/2 hours? JEEZUS CHRIST)
I MEAN, IT'S FUCKING BATMAN. A GUY. WHO RUNS OUT. FIGHTING CRIME. DRESSED LIKE A BAT. HOW SERIOUSLY CAN YOU TAKE THAT.
Okay, Heath Ledger WAS a pretty good Joker, but I was only really interested when he was doing stuff, but even then he wasn't as great as I thought he'd be. I feel bad for Heath though, poor guy died with his only famous roles being a gay cowboy and a psychotic clown. *shot*

But that's not all that happened. Really more interesting is what happened AFTER I walked out.
I walk out after about an hour and tell my mom, who is still in the theater watching with my dad, that I'm going to go across the street to a bookstore. I walk out to the little area outside the ticket area to where they're showing all the movie times, and notice WALL-E is playing at 4:30. I look at my watch (or phone rather, my watch is broken D'8) and it's 4:45. I figure "Hey, I can probably go back in and catch it, and since it's only an hour and a half, it'll let out about the time as the other movie." So I do. I literally just waltz in there, past the ticket thingie, and into the theater where WALL-E is playing. I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO BUY A TICKET, AND NO ONE ASKED ME FOR ONE OR BOTHERED ME OR ANYTHING. THEY JUST LET ME RIGHT THROUGH! So much for theater security.
Anyway, I go in and figure I should text my mom and tell her I changed my plans just in case. But it was JUST starting as I do this, so the dude next to me was like "TURN OFF YOUR PHONE". I shrug and just turn it off without texting her, figuring it won't be a big deal since she'll probably never even know I'm not at the bookstore.
Well unfortunately, about 30 minutes into WALL-E, I decide it would probably be safer if I turned my phone back on but just set it on vibrate. I do, but then I get a voice mail from my mom saying she left the movie early too and is looking for me at the bookstore, and can't find me. So I'm like "CRAP", and walk out of the theater for a quick moment to call her back. She's freaking out and is all like "WHERE ARE YOU WHAT HAPPENED" so I just explain to her what happened and why I couldn't contact her and stuff. She was mad, but she forgave me due to the circumstances and let me go back and watch the rest of WALL-E. |D;

So in the end, I went and saw Dark Knight, the movie everyone's been orgasming over since forever, and it near put me to sleep so much that I said "Screw this, I'm gonna go see the cute robots again."
And my dad was the only one who had the patience to sit through it, and I saw WALL-E for the third weekend in a row (I saw it for the 2nd time last Sunday, so this was my third time seeing it). YAY FOR ME.

Moral?:
WALL-E > Batman
That bot could kick Batman's bat-ass any day.
Fuck yeah.
